Gymnasts Receive College Scholarships

Several years ago 2 young gymnasts came to our office to receive care for some minor injuries that were sustained via Gymnastic training. Occasionally coming in on crutches, a sprained ankle, pulled back, injured knee, can be expected injuries for young gymnasts. As of the Fall 2007, these two young athletes were Ranked #1 & #2 in the State of Indiana. The #1 Gymnast became the #2 Ranked National Champ! Kaelie will be attending UCLA in the Fall of 2008 after being recruited heavily. Krissy will be attending Ohio State University after they too offered a great opportunity! My staff and I will miss these young ladies as they move on to do great things and have been honored by the opportunity to serve their needs over the years.

Kaelie’s comment: “You’re a miracle worker!”

"Wished I met Him Earlier !"

"I played linebacker for the 2007 Carmel High School State Championship football team. I've know for awhile that my hips and legs were off, but had no idea anything coud be done until I met Dr. McDougle. He is a Chiropractor who works to correct spinal imbalances, allowing every athlete's body to perform as efficiently as possible. Increased speed and agility are two of the benefits of a more efficient body. Every athlete can benefit from Dr. McDougle's work. I only wish I had met him earlier."

"One of Your Success Stories"

Dr. Todd & Staff,

"As you'll see next week, one of your success stories (Shonda Garringer) has earned a scholarship to Indiana State. While you had little to do with her hitting and work ethic, you had a lot to do with keeping her in one piece during her freshman & sophomore years. Congrats and Thank you !!"

"Best Chiropractor..."

Best Chiropractor...: I've seen lots of chiropractors all over the Chicagoland area. And when I moved to Indianapolis I was not very impressed with the quality of Chiropractic that was available. Then someone told me about Dr. McDougle. For the first time in my life I walked out of a chiropractic office IMPRESSED. He clearly has a very good grasp on his profession. I've been seeing him a couple of weeks now, and the changes are profound. I'm sorry I wasted my money on other chiropractors over the last couple of years...I should have just moved to Indiana sooner!

He really cares about his patients and wants them to be honest about how the treatments are working. If something isn't working for you, or an adjustment isn't lasting very long, He wants to know! He can't read your mind, but I do feel like he can read my body every time I lay down on his table.

Highly, Highly recommended. Plus, his staff is friendly and very helpful.

"I hated being "twisted in half" and "popped"

Having had treatment when I was a child for the prevention of scoliosis I hated being "twisted in half" and "popped". After experiencing terrible neck pain 15 years later I decided I had nowhere else to turn and since I couldn't turn my head I decided the pain was bad enough to warrant a chiropractor visit! I was pleasantly surprised to find the ProAdjuster to be the furthest thing from “twisting” and “popping” and when walking in saying, "Help my neck so I can turn my head!" I have also received relief from sinus migraines!!*BONUS*(I have suffered from sinus pain for 10+ years with weekly and sometimes daily headaches and migraines.) It’s not just adjusting, but I am also on a set of exercises to strengthen the muscles around my spine to support the vertebra. Everything works together to strengthen your body so that it may function the way it is suppose to. I am so pleased with the results of my treatment and so excited that I don't have to live with headaches! If that is all I get from my treatment I am blessed!(Although I know the benefits are far beyond just that!) You may think chiropractic care is a scam, but until you are in pain and you find real lasting relief from your pain, you really can’t comment.

"the goal is to provide pain free motion for the rest of your life"

As a patient who is treated by Dr. Todd, his office does reeducate their patients on postural exercises and the goal is to provide pain free motion for the rest of your life. I had to go three times a week to get my out of shape spine back in shape, after 12 visits my spine was doing much better, through the adjustments and exercises done at the office and the exercises done, as directed, at home. The goal is to get your body and spine in shape, and keep it that way with periodic maintenance appointments (once or twice a month or every other month). I am currently in the second phase with 2 appointments a week, which lasts 6-8 weeks, then the maintenance period begins. If you wanted to work out in a gym to get your body in shape, how often would you need to work out a week? It's the same theory. The re-education can only work if the patient is disciplined enough to work with the doctor on the exercises and proper posture. Since being treated by Dr. Todd I have stopped crossing my legs when I am seated, slouching when I stand, and sleeping incorrectly.

"I depend on him to continue my work "

As I age, my ability to heal becomes more of a challenge. Dr.McDougle has developed a technique that is the most effective and unique that I've ever experienced. I depend on him to continue my work not only as a Martial Artist, but also to maintain a higher level of health so I may continue to compete as an athlete in Mixed Martial Arts."

Hey, Buddy, Could You Hand Me My Leg?

Thomas Incledon & Magnus ver Magnusson at the Central USA Strongman Competition in Indiana.

"As I again ripped it off the ground, I heard a loud popping noise and felt myself falling to my right. I shifted my weight to my left leg and pushed the tire over using my arms. I went to attack it again, but my right leg wouldn't move. I looked down and then it hit me, my right tibia was dislocated from the knee joint.

At first there was no pain, but slowly, as the adrenaline-high wore off and the realization of what happened set in, the pain started to come. I was carried off the field and people started clapping. "That's nice," I thought to myself, "my leg is ripped off and they're clapping. I feel so much better now."

Back at the triage area under a tent, a Chiropractor (Dr. Todd McDougle, Event Doctor) started to work on my knee. It freaked me out. "Who are you, what are your credentials, and what are you doing?" I blurted out. He calmly stated he was a Chiropractor and that he was going to adjust my dislocated tibia. "How do you know it's dislocated?" I asked. "What do you think?" he responded. I looked at my lower leg. It was about 45 degrees to the right, relative to my knee joint. In case you're not up on your anatomy, it's not normal to have your lower leg stick out from your knee joint like that.

He tried valiantly to reduce my dislocation, or in other words, pop my tibia back into place. After the third try I was going to say to just forget it; the pain was becoming unbearable. I guess four is my lucky number because he got it back into place on that next try. I iced my knee and kept it elevated. That took care of the swelling, but it didn't do s*** for the pain. I stayed around, cheered on my friends, went back the next day to watch the pros, and swore that next year I'd redeem myself."

Tom has been involved in scientific research, lecturing, and writing about performance enhancement for over ten years. He regularly speaks at national conferences and conducts seminars across the country...

In his lifting career, he has trained as a powerlifter, an Olympic weightlifter, and a bodybuilder. Training as a strongman, however, provided its own unique set of challenges per his own admission.
