Indiana Strongman Association Announces Preferred Chiropractic Method

| April 27th, 2013 | No Comments »

Indiana Strongman Association Announces Preferred Chiropractic Method to be that of McDougle Chiropractic Methods. John Albrecht; President of Indiana Strongman, Inc. has discussed with technique developer; Dr. Todd McDougle the specialized application and consistently positive results of his Chiropractic method. As the leader in Indiana Strongman development, Mr. Albrecht recognizes the uniqueness of Dr. McDougle’s Chiropractic Algorithm as a positive  addition to an athletes’ sports medicine protocol which currently is a missing link in sports medicine today. It also fits the necessary demands of today’s strongman / strongwoman athletes.

McDougle Chiropractic Methods was created by the need of athletes to reduce the sensation of being “sprung” as with traditional Chiropractic techniques. Created in association with Chad Coy; an Internationally recognized Strongman Champion, Dr. McDougle took his “out of the box” thinking and accomplished the much needed task. Today, this method has been successfully used on athletes from the local to the Internationally recognized. He was the event physician / Chiropractor  for the World’s Strongest Man / Ultimate Strongman Championships in Belfast, Ireland in 2012 with tremendous results for these World-class athletes.

Since his return from Ireland, Dr. McDougle has been aggressively working to assist as many American athletes to reach their fullest potential with the help of visionaries such as Chad Coy and John Albrecht. Please enjoy the attached videos:

Chad Coy Wins Second at the Ultimate Strongman Competition 2012 in Belfast Ireland

| August 30th, 2012 | No Comments »

It is little known that we have an International athlete very well known throughout the world. Chad Coy began his career in 1998 as a National competitor in the strongman arena. Over the years he had made inroads to the many supplement manufacturers and over time even taught college courses for health and fitness related topics. He too is a successful businessman owning and developing his gym in Kokomo, Indiana.

He has spent many years as the smallest and shortest competitor often overlooked by many. His determination has been noted and respected by those he has competed against. In spite of these physical attributes thought by him to be a deficit, his 5’11” 265 lb. frame is one of the most competitive in strongman competitions to date.

This was once again proven in Ireland after previously taking a 9th place in the Masters Nationals in the USA in 2011. As an alternate for this Masters World competition, he was not expected to be much of a challenger when in the company of legends such as Norway’s Odd Haugen and Australian Champion Derek Boyer. He was the dark horse who surprised them all missing first place by just a few points.

Chad also had the opportunity to travel with his personal Chiropractor Dr. Todd McDougle. Dr. Todd was on hand to help all the athletes, event staff, and even the commentators. Being on hand as a fan of the sport, as well as event doctor, has been a dream come true for the doctor after working with Chad over the last 13 years in the development of a specialized technique algorithm for athletes, which was refined for the average person. Application of the McDougle Chiropractic Method on the athletes present was extremely well received due to its effectiveness.

Congratulations to Chad Coy for his dedication to the sport of Strongman and his accomplishment on the world stage while representing the United States!
